Effects of nursing intervention based on Snyder's hope theory on coping style, hope level and psychological state of colostomy patients
Objective To analyze the effects of nursing intervention based on Snyder's hope theory on coping style, hope level and psychological state of colostomy patients. Methods A total of 103 patients with postoperative co-lostomy for rectal cancer admitted to this hospital from July 2019 to March 2022 were selected.According to different nursing methods,50 cases were divided into control group(routine basic nursing)and 53 cases were divided into exper-imental group(Snyder's hope theoretical nursing). The coping style, hope level,Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS),Distress Thermometer(DT)and complications were compared between the two groups. Results After in-tervention,the face scores of both groups increased, and the avoidance and yield scores decreased. The face score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the score of avoidance and yield were lower than that of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Interconnectedness(I),positive readiness and expectancy(P)and temporality and future(T)scores of both groups increased after intervention, and the score of I,P and T of experimental group was higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).After intervention, the HADS-Anxiety(HADS-A),HADS-Depression(HADS-D)and DT scores of two groups were decreased, and the score of HADS-A,HADS-D and DT of experimental group was lower than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of complications in the control group was 20.00%(10/50),and that in the experimental group was 5.66%(3/53).The proportion of complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions Nursing intervention based on Snyder's hope theory can effectively correct the coping style of co-lostomy patients, improve their hope level and psychological state, and reduce the incidence of complications, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
