The impact of group intervention under the concept of self-care in adolescent depression patients
Objective To explore the impact of group intervention under the concept of self-care on the cop-ing style and social support of adolescent depression patients. Methods 100 adolescent depression patients admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected and randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 50 patients in each group. The control group received routine psychological intervention, while the observation group received group intervention under the concept of self-care on the basis of the control group. The Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS),evaluate their Simplified Coping Style Question-naire(SCSQ)and Social Support Rating Scale(SSRS)before and after intervention between two groups were compared. Results The SDS and SAS scores of the observation group after intervention were significantly lower than those of the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After intervention, the positive coping score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group, while the negative coping score was lower than that of the control group, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).After intervention, the subjective sup-port,objective support, and support utilization scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing group interven-tion under the concept of self-care for adolescent depression can not only significantly improve patients'anxiety and de-pression emotions, but also improve their coping styles and social support.
