Effects of agomelatin on endocrine hormone,sleep quality,anxiety and depression in patients with perimenopausal syndrome
Objective To investigate the effect of agomelatin on endocrine hormone,sleep quality,anxiety and depression in patients with perimenopausal syndrome.Methods A total of 82 patients with perimenopausal syndrome admitted to our hospital from September 2019 to September 2021 were selected and divided according to random number table method.41 patients in the control group were given paroxetine and 41 patients in the observation group were given agomelatine.Endocrine hormone,sleep quality and anxiety and depression in two groups were compared between the two groups.Results There was no statistical significance in the levels of follicle stimulating hormone(FSH),lutein-izing hormone(LH)and estradiol(E2)in two groups after treatment(P＞0.05).After treatment,scores of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)in the ob-servation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion Paroxetine and agomelatine have the same effect on improving endocrine hormone in patients with perimenopausal syndrome,but agomelatine has better effect on reducing anxiety/depression and sleep quality.
