The impact of social support and psychological resilience on recurrence fear in patients undergoing pros-tate cancer
Objective To evaluate and analyze the impact of social support and psychological resilience strate-gies on the probability of recurrence and fear among prostate cancer surgical patients. Methods A total of 78 prostate cancer patients admitted to our hospital were selected, with a time distribution range of October 2021 to October 2022.They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, with 39 patients in each group. The control group received routine health education, while the observation group received social support and psychological resil-ience strategies. The psychological resilience scores, emotional scores, and recurrence probability of the two groups before and after intervention were compared and analyzed.Results(1)Before intervention, there was a significant balance between the two groups'psychological resilience scores(P>0.05).After intervention, both groups'psycho-logical resilience scores showed an increase, and the observation group's psychological resilience scores showed a more significant increase(P<0.05).(2)Before intervention, there was a significant balance between the two groups'psy-chological state scores(P>0.05).After intervention, the anxiety and depression scores of the two groups improved, and the observation group had lower anxiety and depression scores, with a difference comparison of P<0.05.(3)The six-month recurrence probability survey showed that the observation group had a recurrence probability of 5.12%,while the control group had a recurrence probability of 33.33%.The difference between the groups was P<0.05.Conclusion Postoperative patients with prostate cancer who receive social support and psychological resilience strate-gies can improve their psychological state, increase their social support level, and reduce the probability of recurrence.
