Clinical effect of comprehensive psychological intervention on improving sleep quality and negative emo-tions in patients with severe pneumonia
Objective To explore the improvement effect of comprehensive psychological intervention on nega-tive emotions and sleep quality in patients with severe pneumonia in intensive care unit(ICU).Methods From January 2020 to November 2021,a total of 138 cases of severe pneumonia in ICU were collected and recorded. They were divided into two groups based on a"random number table"method:the control group(receiving routine nursing)and the observa-tion group(receiving comprehensive nursing intervention and psychological intervention),with 69 cases in each group;Observe and compare the negative emotions, psychological resilience, sleep quality, and incidence of complications be-tween the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self Rating Depres-sion Scale(SDS)decreased in both groups, with the observation group having a lower score(P<0.05).After interven-tion,the scores of the Connor Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)increased in both groups, with the observation group having a higher score(P<0.05).After intervention, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)score in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing comprehensive psy-chological intervention in ICU patients with severe pneumonia is beneficial for eliminating negative emotions such as anxiety and depression, improving their psychological resilience, maintaining good sleep quality, actively controlling the occur-rence of complications, and playing a positive role in improving prognosis.
