Effects of structure and psychologically empowered health education on blood glucose level,adverse mental state and self-efficacy in elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with depression
Objective To explore the effects of structure and psychological empowerment health education on blood glucose level,adverse mental state and self-efficacy in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with depression.Methods A total of 102 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and depression admitted to our hospital from May 2021 to October 2022 were selected as research objects,and divided into groups by lottery method.Fifty-one cases in the control group were given routine health education,and 51 cases in the observation group were given structural and psychological empowerment health education mode.After 4 weeks,blood glucose levels,ad-verse psychological status and self-efficacy were compared between the two groups.Results Fasting blood glucose,2h postprandial blood glucose and glycosylated hemoglobin levels in observation group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)in observa-tion group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The scores of self-decision making,self-decompression and positive attitude in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The struc-tural and psychological empowerment health education model can effectively reduce the blood glucose level in elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with depression,improve their adverse mental state and self-efficacy.
