The application of brain CT measurement of brain septum pellucidum in patients with schizophrenia
Objective Through CT examination of the transparent septum of the brain in patients with schizo-phrenia provides a reference basis for clinical diagnosis and exploration of disease etiology. Methods A total of 126 patients with schizophrenia admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Fuyang City from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the observation group, and 100 healthy subjects in the same period were selected as the control group. Both groups received CT examination of the brain transparent septum. The detection rate of the brain transparent septum in patients of different ages in the observation group was compared, and the difference between the general data,detec-tion rate of the brain transparent septum and the volume, length and width of the brain transparent septum was observed.Logistic regression analysis was used to explore the relationship between cerebral septum pellucidum and schizophrenia. Results A total of 64 cases of brain structural abnormalities were detected in the observation group, including 15 cas-es of simple ventricular enlargement(23.44%),32 cases of cortical atrophy(50.00%),and 17 cases of diffuse brain atrophy(26.56%).The peak age of the three is>20-30 years old,>30-40 years old,>50 years old.The detection rate of cerebral septum pellucidum cavity and the width, length and volume of septum pellucidum cavity in the observa-tion group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that the width, length and volume of cerebral septum pellucidum and septum pellucidum were the influencing factors of schizophrenia, and the OR values were all>1.Conclusion Schizophrenic patients have a high detection rate of the brain transparent septum in CT examination, which can serve as a specific imaging sign for diagnosis of diseases and is also an correlation factor for the occurrence of schizophrenia.
