Current status of depression in patients with hematological diseases and its relationship with psychologi-cal resilience and social support
Objective To explore the current status of depression in hospitalized patients with hematologi-cal diseases and its relationship with psychological resilience and social support. Methods Eighty-four patients with hematological disorders were included in the Navy Anqing Hospital from June 2020 to May 2023 for depression assess-ment.They were grouped based on evaluation results. The general information, the psychological resilience scale(CD-RISC),and social support rating scale(SSRS)between the depressive and non depressive groups were compared. The single factor analysis and binary logistic regression analysis were used to explore the relationship between depression and general information and two scale scores. Results A total of 38 cases of depression were detected in 84 patients with hematological diseases. There were significant differences in general information between the depression group and the non depression group, such as age, education years, family economic income, medical expense settlement methods, and chemotherapy(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in gender and marriage(P>0.05).The SSRS score and CD-RISC score of the depression group were significantly higher than those of the non depression group(P<0.05).Low income, self funded medical expenses,age<40 years old, chemotherapy,SSRS score, and CD-RISC score are the influencing factors for depression. Conclusion Depression is more common in hospitalized patients with hematological diseases, and low levels of psychological resilience and social support may exacerbate depression.
