The status of Post-traumatic stress disorder in patients with limb fractures and its risk factors
Objective To explore the status of Post-traumatic stress disorder in patients with limb fractures and its risk factors.Methods Eighty patients with limb fractures from January 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the study subjects,with postoperative follow-up of 3 months.The Event Scale Revised(IES-R)were used to PTSD assess.The Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)and Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)were evaluated.The general information,anxiety,and depression of patients with or without PTSD were compared.The risk factors of PTSD were investigated through logistic regression analysis.Results Eighteen out of 80 patients with limb fractures developed PTSD;There were significant differences in general information such as age,education level,cause of injury,and disability among patients with or without PTSD(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in gender,marriage,and length of hospital stay(P>0.05).The anxiety and depression of PTSD patients were significantly higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Risk factors for PTSD in limb fracture patients included disabilities,age<40 years old,anxiety,and depression.Conclusion The incidence of PTSD is higher in patients with limb fractures,and anxiety and depres-sion can increase the risk of PTSD.Therefore,attention should be paid to the psychological status of patients with limb fractures.
