Objective To explore the clinical effect of psychological nursing intervention on patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema. Methods From january 2018 to December 2022,case data were collected and entered into the file. The subjects were 173 patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema admitted to the hos-pital.The subjects were divided into a control group of 86 patients(who received routine nursing)and an observation group of 87 patients(who received psychological nursing on the basis of routine nursing)based on a standardized group-ingof"random number table".The levels of anxiety and depression, resilience, hope, perceived stress, and nursing satisfaction were observed and compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of the Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS)in both groups decreased, with the observation group having a lower score(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of the psychological resilience scale(CD-RISC)increased in both groups, with the observation group having a higher score(P<0.05).After intervention, both groups showed an increase in the hope index(HHI)score and a decrease in the perceived stress scale(CPSS)score, with the observation group performing better(P<0.05).The nursing satisfaction of the observation group was significantly high-er than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Psychological nursing intervention for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary emphysema and respiratory failure can significantly improve their anxiety and depression levels, enhance psychological resilience, mobilize their treatment confidence, and reduce psychological pressure and burden.
