Effect of aripiprazole combined with venlafaxine in major depression patients and their influence on serum inflammatory factors and neurotrophic factors
Objective To explore the effect of aripiprazole combined with venlafaxine on major depression pa-tients and their serum inflammatory factors and neurotrophic factors. Methods 124 major depression patients were randomly divided into two groups using the number table method. The control group was treated with venlafaxine, and the observation group was treated with aripiprazole combined with venlafaxine for 8 weeks. The levels of 17 items of Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD-17),serum dopamine(DA)and 5-hydroxytryptamine(5-HT)before and after treatment in the two groups were compared.Brain derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),interleukin 6(IL 6),tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α)level were detected before and after treatment. Results After treatment, the HAMD-17 score of the two groups decreased significantly, and the serum levels of 5-HT and DA increased significantly. After treatment, the HAMD-17 score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the levels of 5-HT and DA were higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Serum IL-6 and TNF-α after treatment in both groups levels of BDNF were significantly decreased, and the level of BDNF was increased. After treatment,The IL-6,and TNF-α level of observation group were lower than that of control group, and the level of BDNF was higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of severe depression with aripiprazole and venlafaxine can effectively reduce depression, improve the levels of 5-HT and DA,and can reduce the inflammatory reaction and neu-rotrophic factors.
