The influence factors of Non-suicidal self-harm in adolescents with depression
Objective To explore the influence factors of non-suicidal self-injury(NSSI)in depressed ado-lescents.Methods Eighty-four adolescent patients with depression from July 2020 to June 2023 were included.Oc-currence of NSSI was investigated.Gender, age, and experience of abuse were investigated and compared between the NSSI group and the non-NSSI group.Factors influencing NSSI were investigated by logistic regression analysis. Results Among the 84 adolescent depressed patients,35 patients had NSSI experience, including 25 cuts,6 im-pact injuries, and 4 others. The differences between the NSSI and non-NSSI groups in age, gender, depression level, abuse experience, social support, negative life events, and internet addiction were statistically significant(P<0.05).Differences in history of school breaks,single-parent family, primary caregiver, and only child were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Multifactorial analysis showed that severe depression, abuse experience, low social support, negative life events, and internet addiction were influential factors for NSSI.Conclusion Adolescents with depression have a higher proportion of NSSI experiences, and severe depression and abuse experiences may increase the risk of NSSI.
