The relationship between cumulative ecological risks and health-related risk behaviors in adolescent de-pression patients
Objective To observe the differences and correlations between cumulative ecological risks,health-related risk behaviors and depression levels between adolescent depression patients and healthy adolescents. Methods During the period from October 2022 to June 2023,a study was conducted at the Mental Health Center for Adolescents in Shanxi Province, involving 151 cases of adolescent depression patients in the depression group and 172 age-matched healthy adolescents in the region were included in the control group. The cumulative ecological risks ques-tionnaire,adolescent health related risky behavior inventory and self-rating depression scale were evaluated respectively. Results There were statistically significant differences in the percentage of family function risk, school connection risk,teacher-student relationship risk, peer victimization risk, deviant peer interaction risk and cumulative ecologi-cal risk index between the two groups(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences between the two groups in the total score of adolescent health related risky behavior inventory and the factors of aggressive violence,self-injury suicidal behavior, disciplinary behavior, smoking and drinking behavior(P<0.05).There was no statistically signifi-cant difference in unprotected sexual behavior and health compromise behavior(P<0.05).The cumulative ecological risk index of adolescents in the depression group was positively correlated with self-injury suicidal behavior and depres-sion,and depression was positively correlated with self-injury suicidal behavior. The cumulative ecological risk index of adolescents in the control group was positively correlated with aggressive violence,self-injury suicidal behavior, disciplinary behavior, smoking and drinking behavior, total score of adolescent health related risky behavior inven-tory and depression, and depression was positively correlated with aggressive violence,self-injury suicidal behavior, disciplinary behavior, smoking and drinking behavior, and total score of adolescent health related risky behavior in-ventory.Conclusion It is necessary to pay comprehensive attention to the health-related risk behaviors of adolescent depression patients, and promote the structuring and ordering of supportive resources in the family, school and peer ecological environment, which is conducive to the prevention and treatment of adolescent depression and reduce the oc-currence of adolescent health-related risk behaviors.
