The value of implementing psychosocial intervention programs in improving the autism status and intel-lectual development of children with autism and mental retardation
Objective To explore the value of psychosocial intervention programs in improving the condition of children with autism with mental retardation.Methods Following the principle of randomization,50 patients diag-nosed with childhood autism and combined with mental retardation in our hospital from April 2021 to April 2022 were selected.After admission,each group was divided into odd and even groups,with 25 patients in each group.The control group received treatment with Piracetam tablets,while the observation group received psychological and social interventions on the basis of the control group.Record changes in various clinical indicators and Griffiths Developmental Assessment Scale(GDS)scores before and after intervention.Results The GDS scores of 25 patients in the observa-tion group were higher than those in the control group after psychological and social intervention treatment(P<0.05);The observation group showed a decrease in autism behavior score,sleep quality score,and Conners Parent Symptom Questionnaire(PSQ)score compared to the control group;The quality of life score showed an increase compared to the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of childhood autism with mental retardation,choosing psy-chosocial interventions can reduce the impact of the disease on sleep quality and quality of life,and also promote adapt-ability,large exercise and fine motor recovery.
