The effect of dexmedetomidine combined with psychological guidance on anxiety and recovery restlessness in children after surgery
Objective To observe the effects of dexmedetomidine combined with psychological guidance on anx-iety and agitation during recovery in children after surgery. Methods A total of 80 children requiring pediatric hepatic hemangioma surgery treated in our hospital from October 2021 to October 2022 were selected as subjects and randomly divided into combination group and control group, with 40 cases in each group. The combination group was given dex-medetomidine combined with psychological guidance before surgery, and the control group was given only dexmedeto-midine before surgery. The Parental Separation Anxiety Scale(PSAS)were used to assess the perioperative anxiety of two groups of children, and the Ramsay scores and recovery restlessness rates were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the PSAS score of the combination group was significantly better than that of the control group(P<0.05).The Ramsay score in both groups was lower than that in the immediate wake up(P<0.05).Ramsay scores immediately after recovery and 2 hours after operation in combination group were lower than those in control group(P<0.05).The incidence of agitation in the control group was 22.50%(9/40),which was significantly higher than that in the combined group(5.00%)(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of dexmedetomidine combined with psychologi-cal guidance during operation can alleviate agitation and anxiety in the postoperative recovery period.
