The effect of psychological support on the psychological status in elderly patients with traumatic fractures
Objective To explore the value of psychological support in the treatment of elderly patients with traumatic fractures, and to analyze the impact of psychological support on their psychological state. Methods Data from 100 elderly patients with traumatic fractures admitted to our hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were col-lected using an Excel spreadsheet. They were randomly divided into two groups using a random number table. One group received routine intervention(control group)and the other group received psychological support(observation group).Use SPSS software to compare the psychological status, rehabilitation status, pain level, and incidence of complica-tions in two groups. Results The scores of Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS)in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).The observation group had shorter bed-time,hospitalization time, and fracture healing time compared to the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of com-plications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).The pain score of the observation group on the 1st,3rd,and 7th day after surgery was lower than that of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the treatment of elderly patients with traumatic fractures, providing psychological support programs can improve their psychological status, guide them to actively cooperate with treatment, shorten recovery time and prognosis, and is worth learning from and implementing.
