The current status of cancer-related fatigue in patients with thyroid cancer after resection and its rela-tionship with negative emotions and psychological resilience
Objective To explore the current status of cancer-related fatigue in patients with thyroid cancer(TC)after resection and its relationship with negative emotions and psychological resilience. Methods 85 patients who underwent TC resection in our hospital from January 2022 to January 2023 were selected as the study subjects.General clinical data of all patients after TC resection were collected, and the cancer-related fatigue of patients with different demographic characteristics after TC resection was analyzed.Spearman correlation analysis was used to investigate the correlation between cancer-related fatigue and anxiety, depression, and psychological resilience,Multivariate logistic analysis of the influencing factors of cancer-related fatigue in patients after TC resection. Results There was no significant difference in the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome(CFS)score among patients after TC resection in terms of gender, age, tumor size, surgical method, and pathological stage(P>0.05),but there were significant differences in postoperative radioactive iodine therapy, anxiety state, depression state, and psychological resilience level(P<0.05).Spearman correlation analysis showed that the CFS score was positively correlated with the Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)score and the Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)score(r=0.305,0.347,P<0.05),and negatively correlated with the Chinese Connor Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)score(r=-0.317,P<0.05).Multivariate logistic analysis showed that postoperative radioactive iodine therapy, anxiety state, depression state, and psychological resilience level were independent influencing factors for cancer related fatigue in patients after TC resection(P<0.05).Conclusion The degree of cancer-related fatigue in patients after TC resection is generally higher, which is positively correlated with negative emotions such as depression and anxiety, and negatively correlated with psychological resilience level. At the same time, postoperative radioactive iodine therapy, negative emotions, and psychological resilience levels are all influencing factors for cancer related fatigue in patients after TC resection.
