The correlation between occupational stress and sleep disorders among nurses in the infection depart-ment of grassroots hospitals
Objective To explore the relationship between occupational stress and sleep disorders among nurses in the infection department of grassroots hospitals.Methods From February 2021 to June 2022,150 nurses from the infection department of a grassroots hospital in a certain district of our city were selected as the research subjects.A questionnaire survey was conducted among 150 nurses in the department of infectious diseases,including the Occu-pational Stress Inventory and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scores,and comparisons were made with domestic norms.Analyze the correlation between occupational stress and sleep disorders among nurses in the infection department of grassroots hospitals.Results Compared with the domestic norm,the individual stress response and occupational task scores of nurses in the infection department of grassroots hospitals are higher,while the overall score of individual cop-ing strategies is lower(P<0.05).Compared with the domestic norm,the PSQI dimensions and total scores of infectious disease nurses are higher(P<0.05).According to correlation analysis,occupational tasks are positively correlated with daytime dysfunction(P<0.05).Individual tension response is negatively correlated with sleep efficiency and du-ration(P<0.05),and positively correlated with sleep and daytime dysfunction,as well as hypnotic drugs(P<0.05).There is a negative correlation(P<0.05)between individual coping strategies and sleep quality,efficiency,time to fall asleep,sleep disorders,daytime dysfunction,and hypnotic drugs(P<0.05).Conclusion There is a certain correlation between occupational stress and sleep disorders among nurses in the infection department of basic hospitals,and the two interact with each other.Active intervention measures can be taken to improve their sleep quality and allevi-ate occupational stress.
