The effect of humanistic care on emotions,sleep quality and quality of life in elderly multiple myeloma patients undergoing chemotherapy
Objective To explore the effect of humanistic care on emotions,sleep quality and quality of life in elderly multiple myeloma patients undergoing chemotherapy.Methods From January 2019 to December 2022,the hospital case data were collected and filed.The subjects were the elderly patients with Multiple myeloma undergoing chemotherapy.A total of 100 patients were included.Based on the"random number table method",they were divided into the control group and the observation group.50 patients were included in both groups,and were given routine care and routine care+humanistic care care,respectively;The negative emotions,Psychological resilience,sleep quality and quality of life were compared between two groups.Results After intervention,the scores of the Self Rating Anxi-ety Scale(SAS)and Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS)in both groups decreased,and the observed group showed a greater decrease than the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention,the scores of the Psychological resilience scale(CD-RISC)in both groups increased,and those in the observation group were higher(P<0.05).After treat-ment,the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)score in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,both groups showed varying degrees of improvement in the quality of life assessment questionnaire(GQOLI-74)scores,and the observation group showed a greater increase than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Humanistic care for elderly multiple myeloma patients undergoing chemotherapy can effectively improve their anxiety and depression,improve their psychological resilience,maintain a positive and opti-mistic psychological state,and improve their sleep status to ensure a good quality of life.
