The impact of comprehensive nursing care on postoperative negative emotions, sleep quality, and qual-ity of life in patients undergoing prostatectomy
Objective To explore the improvement effect of comprehensive nursing measures on the psychologi-cal,sleep,and quality of life of patients undergoing transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP).Methods Case data were collected and recorded from January 2019 to January 2022.A total of 142 patients with benign prostatic hyper-plasia(BPH)admitted to the hospital were included. The participants were divided into a control group(receiving rou-tine care)and an observation group(receiving routine care+comprehensive care)based on a 1:1 random number table method, with 71 cases included in each group.Observe and compare the negative emotions, comfort, sleep quality, and quality of life between the two groups of patients. Results After intervention, the GCQ scores of both groups showed varying degrees of increase, and the GCQ scores of the observation group showed a greater increase compared to the control group(P<0.05).Both groups had lower scores on the Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self Rating De-pression Scale(SDS),with the observation group having lower scores(P<0.05).The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)scores of both groups showed varying degrees of decrease, and the observed group showed a greater decrease in scores(P<0.05).The scores of both groups of the Simplified Health Status Questionnaire(SF-36)significantly in-creased,with the observation group showing a relatively higher score(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of comprehensive nursing measures in TURP patients not only improves patient comfort, actively eliminates negative emo-tions,improves mental health, but also comprehensively improves patient sleep quality and quality of life, and is worth promoting.
