Effects of computerized cognitive correction therapy on cognitive function and quality of life in patients with chronic schizophrenia
Objective To observe the effect of computerized cognitive correction therapy on patients with chronic schizophrenia. Methods A total of 120 patients with chronic schizophrenia treated in the hospital were selected and enrolled from April 2017 to June 2020,so the patients were grouped by random number table method. The basic group of 60 patients received conventional Western medicine treatment, and the computerized cognitive correction group of 60 patients received computerized cognitive correction treatment at the same time.Positive and Negative Symptom Scale(PANSS),Wisconsin Card Classification Test(WCST),Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale(MoCA),Social Dis-ability Screening Scale(SDSS),and World Health Organization Quality of Life(WHOQOL-BREF)were evaluated before and after treatment. Results PANSS scores,SDSS scores and total errors in the computerized cognitive cor-rection group were lower than those in the basic treatment group(P<0.05),while the number of completed categories, total responses, correct numbers,MoCA scores and WHOQOL-BREF scores in the computerized cognitive correction group were higher than those in the basic treatment group(P<0.05).Conclusion Computerized cognitive correction can improve mental state, cognitive function, social function and life quality of patients with chronic schizophrenia.
