The relationship between children and adolescents with bipolar disorder and parenting style and family environment
Objective To explore the relationship between children and adolescents with bipolar disorder and parenting style and family environment.Methods The clinical data of 56 patients with bipolar disorder admitted to our hospital from July 2021 to July 2023 were retrospectively analyzed,and they were included in the observation group,and 56 healthy children and adolescents were included in the control group during the same period.Egna Minnen av Barndoms Uppforstran(EMBU)and Family Environment Scale(FES)were used to evaluate the parenting style and family environment of the two groups.Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the factors affecting the inci-dence of bipolar disorder in children and adolescents.Results The scores of father's severe punishment,excessive interference,refusal to deny and mother's excessive interference protection and harsh punishment in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group,and the scores of mother's understanding of emotional warmth were significantly lower than those in control group(P＜0.05).The intimacy of the observation group was significantly lower than that of the control group,and the scores of contradictions and control were significantly higher than those of the control group(P＜0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that father's severe punishment,denial,contradiction and control were risk factors for the onset of bipolar disorder in children and adolescents,and mother's emotional warmth,understanding and closeness were protective factors for the onset of bipolar disorder in children and adolescents(P＜0.05).Conclusion The bipolar disorder in children and adolescents is closely related to the parent-ing style and family environment.
