Role of Balint group in the standardized training of residents in department of psychiatry and its influence on doctor-patient communication ability,anxiety,depression and job burnout
Objective To explore the application effect of Balint group in the standardized training of residents in department of psychiatry.Methods The related data of 31 residents who received conventional standardized training model in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from September 2021 to December 2023 were ret-rospectively analyzed and the residents were included in control group.The related data of 31 psychiatric residents in the Fourth People's Hospital of Urumqi who were treated with Balint group model intervention on the basis of the control group were retrospectively analyzed and the residents were enrolled as observation group.The changes of doctor-patient com-munication ability(360-degree rating scale for professional ethics and communication skills),psychological status[Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)],and job burnout(job burnout scale)were compared between the two groups before intervention and after 3 months of intervention.Results After 3 months of intervention,the 360 scores and score of dimension of personal accomplishment disappearance of job burnout scale in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05),while the scores of dimensions of emotional exhaustion and depersonalization tendency of job burnout scale and psychological symptoms-related scores were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Balint group has a good effect on the standardized training of psychiatric residents.It can effectively improve the psychological status of residents in department of psychiatry,enhance the doctor-patient communication ability,and reduce the job burnout,with good application effect.
