The effect of transcranial magnetic stimulation on children with autism and mental retardation
Objective To explore the clinical effect of transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy on children with autism and mental retardation. Methods Case data were collected from October 2020 to October 2022 and included in the file.A total of 60 children with autism and mental retardation admitted to the hospital were included. The included subjects were divided into a control group(receiving comprehensive rehabilitation training)and an observation group(receiving rehabilitation training+transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment)based on standardized grouping using a"simple randomization method",with 30 cases included in each group;Observe and compare the scores of the Autism Behavior Scale(ABC),Childhood Autism Rating Scale(CARS),Child Sleep Habits Questionnaire(CSHQ),and Autism Treatment Evaluation Scale(ATEC).Results After treatment, the ABC and CARS scores of both groups de-creased,with the observation group being lower than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, both groups showed varying degrees of decrease in ATEC scores, and the observed group had a greater decrease than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the CSHQ scores of both groups decreased to varying degrees, and the observed group showed a greater decrease than the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of transcranial mag-netic stimulation therapy in the treatment of children with autism and mental retardation can significantly improve their symptoms and condition, and improve sleep quality.
