Relationship between the characteristics of brain injury hematoma and mental disorders
Objective To explore the relationship between intracranial hematoma characteristics and mental disorders in patients with brain injury. Methods The clinical data of 100 patients with brain injury combined with intracranial hematoma from January 2019 to June 2023 were included. The occurrence of mental disorders during hos-pitalization were observed. The patient cranial imaging data were collected. The characteristics of hematoma in patients with mental disorders were compared.Multivariate analysis of the relationship between hematoma characteristics and mental disorders. Results 34 out of 100 patients developed mental disorders; There were statistically significant dif-ferences in hematoma volume, involvement of cerebral lobes, occurrence time, and distribution among patients with mental disorders(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the side profile of hematoma(P>0.05).The variables with statistical significance were included in the multivariate logistic regression analysis, and the results showed that hematoma involving the frontal lobe, hematoma involving the temporal lobes, hematoma volume>30mL,and acute phase hematoma were risk factors for mental disorders in patients with brain injury. Conclusion The inci-dence of mental disorders is higher in patients with brain injury combined with intracranial hematoma, among which the hematoma affects the frontal and temporal lobes. The larger volume of the hematoma may increase the risk of mental dis-orders,and attention should be paid to prevention and treatment.
