The features of MRI in ischemic stroke patients with depression
Objective To analyze MRI features in patients with ischemic stroke(IS)combined with depression. Methods Ninety-four cases of IS patients in our hospital from August 2019 to December 2022 were used as the study population.Forty-six cases with depression self-rating scale(SDS)≥53 were used as the study group, and 48 cases with SDS<53 were used as the control group.MRI characteristics of the two groups were compared. Results The pro-portion of ischemia in the frontal, temporal, and basal ganglia regions was significantly higher in the study group than in the control group(P<0.05).There were not statistically differences of ischemia in the parietal,occipital,thala-mus,internal capsule, and hippocampus between two groups(P>0.05).The apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)values in the frontal, temporal, and basal ganglia regions were higher in the study group than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion IS patients combined with depression have a significantly higher proportion of ischemias in the frontal, temporal, and basal ganglia regions, and the disease maybe can be prevented and treated clinically based on MRI-related parameters.
