The effect of psychological intervention intervention on mood and cognition function of elderly patients undergoing orthopedic surgery under spinal anesthesia
Objective To explore the impact of psychological intervention intervention on on mood and cogni-tion function in elderly patients undergoing orthopedic surgery. Methods From February 2020 to February 2023,84 elderly patients undergoing orthopedic surgery after strict screening were randomly divided into control group(receiving spinal anesthesia combined with routine intervention)and observation group(receiving spinal anesthesia combined with psychological intervention)according to admission number, with 42 cases in each group; The degree of anxiety and depression, mental state and sleep quality were compared between the two groups before and after intervention. Results After the intervention, the scores of Zung-self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and Zung-self-rating depression scale(SDS)decreased in both groups, especially in the observation group(P<0.05).The scores of mini-mental state ex-amination(MMSE)in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).After the intervention, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of spinal anesthesia combined with psychological intervention in elderly orthopedic surgery patients can help eliminate postoperative anxiety and depression, reduce the risk of cognition disorders and sleep disorders, and promote recovery.
