Effect of psychotherapy on negative emotion and quality of life of patients with early breast cancer under-going breast conserving surgery and base note intensive radiotherapy
Objective To explore the effect of base note radiotherapy combined with psychological intervention on negative emotions and quality of life of patients with early breast cancer after breast conserving surgery. Methods The medical records were selected from March 2022 to February 2023.The selected subjects were 70 patients with early breast cancer who received breast conserving surgery in the hospital. All of them received dynamic intensity modulated radiation therapy. The principle of"simple randomized method"was 1:1 grouping. They were divided into control group(with routine intervention)and observation group(with psychological intervention).35 patients were included in each group,Observe and compare the levels of anxiety and depression, psychological resilience, coping styles, and qual-ity of life between the two groups of patients. Results After treatment, the scores of Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS)showed varying degrees of decrease in both groups, and the observed group showed a more significant decrease compared to the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores on the Con-nor Davidson Resilience Scale(CD-RISC)increased in both groups, with the observation group having a higher score(P<0.05).After treatment, there was a significant improvement in the scores of both groups on the Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ).The observation group had lower yield and avoidance scores than the control group, and higher face to face scores than the control group(P<0.05).After treatment, the scores of all dimensions of the Functional Assessment of breast cancer Therapy Break(FACT-B)in both groups were significantly higher, and the scores in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The intensive radiotherapy combined with psychological intervention can improve the anxiety and depression of patients with early breast cancer after breast conserving surgery, enhance their psychological resilience, thus improve their coping style and achieve the positive effect of improving their quality of life.
