Effect of Bobath Exercise on Mood and Motor Function in Depressed Patients with Stroke
Objective To investigate the effect of Bobath exercise on mood and motor function in depressed pa-tients with stroke. Methods A total of 100 depressed patients with stroke from January 2021 to January 2023 in our hospital were divided into two groups, the control group and the observation group,by random number table method. The control group was treated with conventional treatment and psychological intervention, while the observation group was given Bobath exercise intervention on the basis of the control group. The Fugl-Meyer Motor Function Assessment Scale(FMA),Barthel Index(BI),Hamilton anxiety rating scale(HAMA)and Hamilton depression rating scale(HAMD)were compared before and after the intervention. Results FMA scores and BI scores were significantly higher in both groups after the intervention than before the intervention, and both scores were higher in the observa-tion group(P<0.05).The HAMA score and HAMD score were significantly lower in both groups after the intervention, and both scores were lower in the observation group(P<0.05).Conclusion Bobath exercise not only improves motor function in depressed stroke patients, but also significantly improves stroke patients'anxiety and depression.
