The effect of predictive care on negative emotions, sleep quality and life quality in thyroid cancer patients after radical thyroidectomy
Objective To explore the impact of predictive care on negative emotions, sleep quality and life quality of patients after radical thyroidectomy for thyroid cancer.Method A total of 100 patients with thyroid cancer who underwent radical surgery during Apr.2021 to Nov.2022 were included in the study. The participants were divided into control group(receiving routine care)and observation group(receiving routine care+predictive care)based on the standardized grouping method of"random number table".50 patients were included in each group.Negative emotions, sleep quality and quality of life were observed and compared. Results After intervention, the scores of the Self Rat-ing Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS)decreased in both groups. The observation group had a lower score compared to the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)scores of both groups were significantly reduced, and the observation group had significantly lower PSQI scores than the control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of both groups on the Simplified Health Status Questionnaire(SF-36)significantly increased.Observation group hold higher scores(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of predictive care in thyroid cancer radical surgery can significantly improve the patient's psychological state, eliminate negative emotions, improve the patient's psychological state and sleep quality, and promote a comprehensive improve-ment in quality of life.
