Effects of paroxetine combined with tandospirone on cognitive and social functions in patients with co-morbidity of anxiety and depression
Objective To explore the effect of paroxetine combined with tandospirone on cognitive and social functions in patients with comorbidity of anxiety and depression.Methods According to the method of random number table,80 patients with comorbidities of anxiety and depression admitted in our hospital from February 2021 to Feb-ruary 2022 were divided into control group(paroxetine treatment)and combination group(paroxetine+tandospirone treatment),with 40 patients in each group;The clinical treatment effects of the two groups were compared,including the anxiety and depression status,clinical general impression scale(CGI),cognitive function,quality of life health questionnaire and social function changes before and after treatment.Results The clinical treatment effect of the two groups was higher in the combined group than in the control group(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA),Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD)and CGI in the combined group were lower than those in the control group and before treatment(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of PSPCHN and SF-36 in the combined group were higher than those in the control group and before treatment(P<0.05).After treatment,the latency of N1,N2,P2 and P3 waves in the combined group was lower than that in the control group and before treatment(P<0.05).The wave amplitude of the combined group was higher than that of the control group and before treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of paroxetine and tandospirone has a significant therapeutic effect on patients with anxi-ety and depression comorbidities.It can relieve anxiety and depression,improve cognitive function,improve quality of life and social function.
