The influencing factors of the degree of dependence in male alcohol dependent patients
Objective To investigate the degree of dependence of male alcohol-dependent patients and analyze the influencing factors. Methods A total of 104 male alcohol-dependent patients in the Fourth People's Hospital of Liaocheng City from January 2021 to January 2023 were included. The Michigan alcoholism screening test(MAST)was used to investigate the degree of alcohol dependence.Differences in MAST scores were compared between patients of different ages, educational backgrounds, and years of drinking.Multiple stepwise regression analysis was used to in-vestigate the factors affecting the degree of alcohol dependence. Results MAST scores of 104 male alcohol-dependent patients(15.18±3.92),39 mild,50 moderate and 15 severe.Differences in MAST scores between patients with dif-ferent age, place of residence, education, years of drinking, whether they lived alone or not, smoking addiction, and comorbid anxiety were statistically significant(P<0.05).The MAST scores of patients with different marital status and family income were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Multiple stepwise regression analysis showed that edu-cation,years of drinking, living alone, tobacco addiction, and comorbid anxiety were the influencing factors of the degree of dependence in male alcohol-dependent patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The degree of dependence of male alcohol-dependent patients is related to education, years of drinking, living alone, etc.Relevant health education as well as psychological interventions should be strengthened to reduce the degree of alcohol dependence.
