Correlation analysis between sports during pregnancy and postpartum depression
Objective To explore the correlation between sports during pregnancy and postpartum depression.Methods We selected 518 parturients in a tertiary general hospital from June to December in 2020 as the research objects by convenient and cluster sampling.The general information questionnaire,Edinburgh Postpartum Depres-sion Scale and sports evaluation scale were used to conduct the questionnaire survey,and the correlation between sports during pregnancy and postpartum depression was analyzed by SPSS 22.0 software.Results The detection rate of postpartum depression was 19.49%(101/518).69 participated in high-intensity sports,accounting for 13.32%(69/518).129 participated in medium intensity sports,accounting for 24.09%(129/518).320 participated in low-intensity sports,accounting for 61.78%(320/518).The average frequency of exercise during pregnancy was(3.29±0.48)times for every week,and the average duration was(37.29±7.26)minutes for every time.Maternal age,parity and pregnancy complications affected the incidence of postpartum depression,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).The scores of postpartum depression were significantly different in different intensity exercise during pregnancy(P<0.001).The incidence of postpartum depression in pregnant women who participated in moder-ate intensity exercise was lower than that in pregnant women who participated in high-intensity and low-intensity ex-ercise,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).The frequency and time of exercise in postpartum depression group were lower than those in non-postpartum depression group(P<0.001).The frequency and time of participating in sports during pregnancy were negatively correlated with the score of postpartum depression(P<0.001).Conclusion The intensity,frequency and time of physical exercise during pregnancy were closely related to the oc-currence of postpartum depression.Based on this,reasonable arrangement of physical exercise during pregnancy could reduce the incidence of postpartum depression.
