The effect of psychological intervention on the psychological state and postoperative cognitive function of cesarean section mothers
Objective To explore the effects of psychological intervention on the psychological and cognitive functions of cesarean section women. Methods From May 2022 to March 2023,84 cesarean section women were di-vided into two groups based on a"random number table"method:the control group(receiving spinal epidural anesthe-sia)and the observation group(receiving spinal epidural anesthesia+psychological intervention); The psychological sta-tus,cognitive function, postoperative comfort, sleep quality and postpartum depression between the two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the scores of the Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)and Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS)decreased in both groups, with the observation group having a lower score(P<0.05).After the interven-tion,the MMSE score of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).After operation, the scores of SF-36 in both groups showed an upward trend, especially in the observation group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the scores of visual analogue scale(VAS)and Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale(EPDS)in the observation group were significantly lower(P<0.05).Conclusion Implementing lumbar epi-dural anesthesia as an auxiliary psychological intervention for cesarean section mothers can improve their negative emo-tions,promote postoperative cognitive function recovery, improve their physiological comfort and sleep quality, and reduce postpartum depression.
