Anxiety of diabetic macular edema patients in anti-VEGF drug treatment and its influence on their coping style
Objective To explore the state anxiety of(diabetic macular edema,DME)patients treated with anti-vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)drugs and its influence on their coping style. Methods From January 2020 to September 2023,80 DME patients were selected, and the state anxiety and coping style of DME patients were evaluated by using State anxiety inventory,S-AI)and Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ).Compare the S-AI scores of patients with different clinical characteristics, and analyze the influencing factors of state anxiety of DME patients, the correlation between S-AI and MCMQ scores, and the influencing factors of MCMQ scores. Results The S-AI scores of patients aged 30~70 years and over were higher than those of patients aged 30≤(P<0.05),while those of patients aged over 70 years were higher than those of patients aged 30~70 years(P<0.05).Women,pa-tients with diabetes mellitus>5 years,self-funded/urban and rural residents'medical insurance, rural and binocular patients.According to linear regression analysis, age, payment method and face negatively affected the S-AI score of patients(P<0.05),but avoided positively influencing the S-AI score of patients(P<0.05).According to Pearson analysis, the S-AI score was negatively correlated with MCMQ's face dimension score(P<0.05),and positively cor-related with MCMQ's avoidance and yield dimension score(P<0.05).According to linear regression analysis,S-AI score negatively affected the face dimension score of patients'MCMQ(P<0.05),while S-AI score positively affected the avoidance and yield dimension score of patients'MCMQ(P<0.05).Conclusion The state anxiety of DME pa-tients in anti-VEGF drug therapy is high, and the influencing factors are age, payment method and the dimensions of facing and avoiding in MCMQ,and the state anxiety has an influence on the coping style of DME patients.
