The status of anxiety in emergency dizziness patients and its influencing factors
Objective To explore the factors influencing anxiety in emergency dizziness patients. Methods A total of 225 emergency dizziness patients were selected from November 2022 to October 2023.During the observa-tion period, the hamilton anxiety scale was used to assess their anxiety levels. They were divided into the anxiety and the non anxiety groups according the reference assessment results. The medical records such as dizziness type, gender, and age between two groups of patients were compared.Logistic regression analysis on the influencing factors of anxi-ety in emergency dizziness patients. Results Out of 225 patients,92 had anxiety, with a detection rate of 40.89%.Among them, there were 42 cases of mild,37 cases of moderate, and 13 cases of severe anxiety, respectively. There were statistically significant differences between the anxiety group and the non anxiety group in terms of etiology, age, visit time, educational level, whether to seek medical treatment alone, first onset, and concomitant other symptoms(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in gender and place of residence between the two groups(P>0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that vestibular vertigo, seeking medical treatment alone,age>70 years old, education level below primary school, and first onset of symptoms were the influencing factors for anxiety in emergency vertigo patients. Conclusion The detection rate of anxiety in emergency dizziness patients is relatively high, mainly mild to moderate.Vestibular dizziness and seeking medical treatment alone can increase the risk of anxiety in patients.
