Objective To investigate the relationship between social and psychological factors and acute ex-acerbation in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.Methods A total of 100 patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the first outpatient clinic of Henan Provincial Directly Undertaken Organs from January 2019 to May 2022 were selected and followed up for 1 year,and whether acute exacerbation occurred in 1 year was recorded.Social and psychological factors such as anxiety,depression,and marital status were compared between patients with acute exacerbation and those without exacerbation.The relationship between social and psychological fac-tors and acute exacerbation in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease was also explored after uni-factorial and multifactorial analyses.Results There were 41 acute exacerbations in 100 patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease,with an acute exacerbation rate of 41.00%.The difference between acute exacerbation and non-exacerbation patients'information such as anxiety,depression,sleep disorder,smoking,main residence,adherence to pulmonary rehabilitation,work status,age and so on was significant(P<0.05).There were no statisti-cally significant differences in education,marriage,and gender between the two types of patients(P>0.05).Mul-tifactorial analysis showed that anxiety,depression,smoking,and poor adherence to pulmonary rehabilitation were the influencing factors for acute exacerbation in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease have a high rate of acute exacerbation within 1 year,and social and psychological factors such as anxiety,depression,and poor adherence to pulmonary rehabilita-tion may be associated with acute exacerbation.
