Diaphragmatic ultrasound:methodology and the progress of it in predicting postoperative residual neuromuscular block
The incidence of postoperative residual neuromuscular block(PRNB)is high and good recovery of respiratory func-tion during the recovery from general anesthesia is an important prerequisite for extubation. The diaphragm is the most dominant respi-ratory muscle, diaphragmtic ultrasound is a non-invasive,safe,real-time,and convenient technique. The review introduces various methods and indices of diaphragmatic ultrasound and summarizes cutting-edge research advances focusing on the feasibility and accura-cy of diaphragmatic ultrasound in predicting PRNB.The aim is to propose better techniques for postoperative monitoring of myasthenic re-siduals after general anesthesia and to promote the development of the healthcare system towards visualization, precision, and comfort.
