A method of ultrasound-guided quadratus lumborum block at the lateral supra-arcuate ligament
With the rapid development of ultrasound techniques and the increasing diversity of anesthesia methods, nerve block technique is widely used for perioperative analgesia.Ultrasound-guided quadratus lumborum block at the lateral supra-arcuate ligament(QLB-LSAL)is a new truncal blockade, which involves the administration of medication into the anterior aspect of the quadra-tus lumborum at the lateral supra-arcuate ligament. This review summarizes the anatomical characteristics of quadratus lumborum-thoracolumbar fascia and analgesic mechanism, puncture approaches, and perioperative application,in order to provide ref-erence for clinical application.
