In recent years,the discrete choice experiment has been increasingly applied to the study of health pro-fessionalsjob preferences in rural areas.In 2012,the"How to Conduct a Discrete Choice Experiment for Health Workforce Recruitment and Retention in Remote and Rural Areas:A User Guide with Case Studies"provided a sys-tematic description of the steps involved in using discrete choice experiments.Based on this guide and innovative de-velopments in recent years in relevant national and international literature,this research presented the application steps of the discrete choice experiment for measuring health professionals'job preferences in rural areas.
