The Relationship between Resilience and Job Burnout of Local Poverty Alleviation Officials in Ethnic Minority Areas:the Model of Moderated Mediator
Objective The study aims to explore the relationship between resilience and job burnout of local po-verty alleviation officials in ethnic minority areas as well as the roles of anxiety and ethnic group differences in the re-lationship mentioned above.Methods 1 360 local poverty alleviation officials from 17 cities and counties in Liangs-han Prefecture were selected based on the method of stratified random sampling from September to October in 2019,and they were asked to complete questionnaires including Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale,Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale and Maslach Burnout Inventory General Survey.Spearman correlation analysis was used to ex-plore the relationship between resilience,anxiety,ethnic group and job burnout.Macro-program Process was used to verify the moderated mediation model and test the mediating effect of anxiety and the moderating effect of ethnic group.Results The incidence of job burnout among local poverty alleviation officials of Liangshan was 79.82%,16.22%were in severe state.Resilience has a negatively predictive effect on job burnout(β=-0.42,P<0.001).An-xiety played a partial mediating role between resilience and job burnout,95%CI(-0.20,-0.14),and the mediating effect accounted for 28.81%.Ethnic group moderated the mediating effect of the second half,demonstrating that among local poverty alleviation officials of Han Nationality,anxiety has a greater impact on job burnout.Conclusion The resilience impacts job burnout of local poverty alleviation officials in ethnic minority areas by anxiety,and this relationship is moderated by ethnic group.
