Current Status and Correlation of Self-perceived Burden and Quality of Life in Elderly Patients with Lymphoma
Objective To analyze the self-perceived burden(SPB),quality of life and their correlation in elderly pa-tients with lymphoma. Methods 505 elderly patients with lymphoma who were treated in the department of hema-tology of West China Hospital,Sichuan University from March 2019 to March 2022 were selected as the research subjects by convenient sampling.General information questionnaire,Self-Perceived Burden Scale(SPBS)and Func-tional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Lymphoma(FACT-Lym)were used to investigate the patients. The SPBS scores and FACT-Lym scores of patients were evaluated and the correlation between them was analyzed. Results The total SPBS score of elderly patients with lymphoma was(31.76±1.59)points,and SPB grading showed there were 61 cases of no SPB,167 cases of mild SPB,147 cases of moderate SPB and 130 cases of severe SPB.The scores of dimensions of emotion, physiology, social family, function and lymphoma additional concern and total score of FACT-Lym were(10.98±2.45)points,(13.02±2.83)points,(13.01±2.65)points,(11.97±3.42)points,(28.95±1.81)points and(77.93±7.52)points.As the severity of SPB increased, the scores of all dimensions of FACT-Lym de-creased in turn, and there were statistical differences among different groups(P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis showed that the scores of dimensions of SPBS were negatively correlated with the scores of dimensions of FACT-Lym in elderly patients with lymphoma(P<0.05).Conclusion Elderly patients with lymphoma have different degrees of self-perceived burden, and the more serious the SPB,the worse the quality of life.It is suggested to take corresponding measures to improve the prognosis and quality of life.
