Study on the Impact of Social Networkon on the Subjective Well-being of Migrant Populations:An Empirical Analysis Based on CGSS 2017 Survey Data
Objective To study the influence of local social network on the subjective well-being of floating popu-lation and its internal mechanism,and to provide corresponding policy suggestions for improving the well-being of floating population.Methods Using the data of Chinese General Social Survey(CGSS 2017)in 2017,Oprobit model was applied with ordered regression to explore the influence of local social network on the subjective well-being of migrant population and its mechanism.Results Local social network could improve the subjective well-being of floating population at the significance level of 0.1,but there were differences in three sub-dimensions.Specifically,the coefficient of relatives was 0.053,neighborhood was 0.070,and friend was 0.141.Subjective class identification played an intermediary role in the process of improving the floating population's subjective well-being,and the inter-mediary effect was 0.042,accounting for 12.65%of the total effect.Conclusion Local social network and subjective class identification play a significant role in the subjective well-being of floating population.It is necessary to attach importance to the establishment of the social network of the floating population in the inflow place.The government and the community should take measures to encourage and assist the floating population to establish social networks and enhance their subjective class identification,thereby enhancing their happiness.
