Current Status and Influencing Factors of Symptom Burden and Daily Perceived Discrimination in Patients with Stroke
Objective To analyze the current status and influencing factors of symptom burden and daily perceived discrimination in patients with stroke. Methods 506 patients with stroke admitted to West China Hospital,Sichuan University from January 2018 to July 2023 were selected as research subjects.General data questionnaire, stroke knowledge questionnaire, family care index scale, social support rating scale, stroke symptom experience scale and daily perceived discrimination scale were used to investigate the patients, and multivariate stepwise regression analy-sis was used to explore the related factors affecting symptom burden and daily perceived discrimination in patients with stroke. Results The total score of symptom burden was(40.62±5.14)points.Multivariate stepwise regression analysis showed that age, education level,long-term medication need, family care degree and social support level were the main influencing factors of symptom burden in patients with stroke(P<0.05).The total score of daily perceived discrimination in patients with stroke was(29.18±3.65)points.Multivariate stepwise regression analysis revealed that age, stroke knowledge level, family care degree and social support level were the main influencing factors of daily perceived discrimination in patients with stroke(P<0.05).Conclusion The symptom burden and daily perceived discrimination in patients with stroke are above the medium level.Advanced age,low education level,long-term medi-cation need, poor family care degree and poor social support level are the main risk factors affecting the former, while advanced age, high stroke knowledge level, good family care degree and satisfactory social support level are the pro-tective factors of the latter, and it is necessary to perform individualized intervention measures to relieve the physical and mental burden of patients.
