Influencing Factors of Quality of Life and Its Relationship with Subjective Well-being and Stigma in Patients undergoing Endoscopic Internal Hemorrhoid Ligation
Objective To explore the influencing factors of quality of life and analyze its relationship with subjec-tive well-being and stigma in patients undergoing endoscopic internal hemorrhoid ligation. Methods A total of 530 patients undergoing endoscopic hemorrhoid ligation in Jiaozhou Central Hospital,Qingdao, were enrolled between January 2020 and December 2023,and their demographic data,36-item short-form(SF-36),general well-being scale(GWB)and stigma scale for chronic illness(SSCI)were investigated.Influencing factors of quality of life and its rela-tionship with subjective well-being and stigma in patients undergoing endoscopic hemorrhoid ligation were analyzed. Results SF-36 score in patients undergoing endoscopic hemorrhoid ligation was(71.53±8.96)points,and there were significant differences in SF-36 scores among patients with different constipation degree, hemorrhoids size,di-sease severity and postoperative infection(P<0.05).The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that constipation, large hemorrhoids, and postoperative infection were influencing factors of quality of life(P<0.05).The results of Pearson correlation analysis showed that quality of life score was positively correlated with score of subjec-tive well-being(r=0.553,P<0.001),while negatively correlated with stigma score(r=-0.608,P<0.001).Conclusion Constipation, large hemorrhoid and postoperative infection may be the influencing factors of quality of life in patients undergoing endoscopic hemorrhoid ligation. It is necessary to pay close attention to postoperative re-covery of patients and take timely intervention measures to improve quality of life, reduce stigma and improve subjec-tive well-being.
