Research on the Influencing Factors of Hypertension among the Young and Middle-aged Floating Population in First-tier Cities:The Mediating Effect of Social Integration
Objective To analyze the relationship between socioeconomic characteristics and hypertension preva-lence status of young and middle-aged migrant population in first-tier cities in China,and to explore the mediating effect of social integration between socioeconomic characteristics and hypertension prevalence status of young and middle-aged migrant population,in order to provide a reference basis for the prevention and treatment of hyperten-sion in this population.Methods Using the 2017China Mobile Population Dynamic Monitoring data,41 349 young and middle-aged mobile populations in first-tier cities were screened to explore the factors influencing the prevalence of hypertension and the degree of influence in this population by using univariate analysis and dichotomous logistic regression.The mediation effect model was used to analyze the influence of social integration in the association be-tween socioeconomic characteristics and hypertension.Results The proportion of young and middle-aged migrants with hypertension in first-tier cities was 3.34%.The factors affecting the prevalence of hypertension among young and middle-aged migrants in terms of socioeconomic characteristics were gender,marital status,education level,occu-pation,and income status.In the role of the association between socioeconomic characteristics and hypertension prevalence,the mediating effect of social integration was significant,and the mediating effect was manifested as a masking effect,with a mediating effect value and its Bootstrap 95%CI of-0.000 4(-0.000 6 to-0.000 2).The media-ting effect percentage was 3.17%.The role of the association between socioeconomic status and the risk of hyperten-sion differed for different levels of social integration.Conclusion The socioeconomic characteristics of the middle-aged and young migrant population have a significant impact on the risk of hypertension,and social integra-tion has a masking effect between the socioeconomic characteristics of the migrant population and the risk of hyper-tension.It is recommended that primary healthcare institutions should carry out personalized hypertension health ed-ucation for the middle-aged and young migrant population,and strengthen the use of migrant health records in con-junction with the health management of hypertension.Community recreational activities should be actively organized,and the publicity of volunteer activities should be increased.Relying on family doctor contract services to enhance the equalization of basic medical and health services for middle-aged and young migrant populations
