Research on the Relationship Between Doctors'Stressors and Work Engagement Based on Work-related Rumination
Objective To explore the relationship between doctors'different types of stressors and job involve-ment,and explore the mediating effect of job rumination between the two,so as to provide theoretical basis for hospi-tal managers to effectively manage from the perspective of stressors. Methods A stratified random sampling method was used to investigate 481 doctors from 7 public hospitals in Beijing from May to September 2021 using the Cha-llenging Obstructive Stress Scale,Simplified Work Engagement Scale,Work Rumination Questionnaire, and Positive and Negative Perfectionism Scale. The data were analyzed using correlation analysis, stepwise regression analysis, and Process macro program. Results Problem-solving meditation showed intermediary effect between challenging stre-ssors and job involvement(β=1.071,P<0.01)significantly,while emotion rumination had intermediary effect be-tween obstructive stressors and job involvement significantly(β=0.496,P<0.01);positive perfectionism had adjust-ment effect between problem-solving reflection and job involvement(β=0.024,P<0.05)significantly,negative per-fectionism significantly regulated emotion rumination and job involvement(β=0.027,P<0.05).Conclusion Hospi-tal managers can guide doctors to ruminate content focusing on problem-solving,rather than emotional point of view, and take personalized actions according to the different personality characteristics of doctors.
