Status Quo of Psychological Stress and Psychological Capital and Correlation with Career Expectation of Resident Standardized Training Students
Objective To analyze the status quo of psychological stress,psychological capital and career expecta-tion of resident standardized training students(RRT),and to analyze their correlation.Methods Adopting conve-nience sampling method,a total of 516 students were selected from June 2021 to June 2023 in Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital for residential training.The psychological stress,psychological capital and career expectation of the students were investigated and analyzed by Depression-Anxiety-Stress Scale(DASS),Psychological Capital Scale and Career Expectation Scale,and the correlation between psychological stress,psychological capital and career ex-pectation was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis.Results The scores of dimensions of DASS,psychological capital and career expectation were(7.68±1.93)points,(9.11±2.86)points and(13.09±3.64)points,(23.69±3.88)points,(25.63±4.18)points,(21.05±3.94)points and(16.67±3.12)points,and(28.34±4.82)points,(28.02±4.23)points and(18.12±3.53)points respectively.Pearson correlation analysis showed that depression,anxiety and stress were negatively correlated with status prestige,self-development and stability(r=-0.525,-0.565,-0.536,-0.633,-0.259,-0.234;-0.486,-0.357,-0.199;P<0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that self-efficacy,hope,resilience,and optimism were positively correlated with status prestige,self-development and stability(r=0.344,0.487,0.238;0.447,0.391,0.187;0.476,0.351,0.228;0.330,0.569,0.226;P<0.05).Psychological ca-pital had a partial mediating effect between psychological stress and career expectation of resident training students,and the mediating effect accounted for 47.18%of the total effect.Conclusion There is a high psychological stress in the students of residential training,and they are in the middle level of psychological capital.There is a significant negative correlation between career expectation and psychological stress,and a significant positive correlation be-tween career expectation and psychological capital.Therefore,improving the psychological capital and psychological stress of students can help to improve their career expectation.
