The Influencing Factors and Strategies of Health Self-management Ability in Population at High-risk of Metabolic Syndrome
Objective To investigate the health self-management ability and analyze the influencing factors in peo-ple at high risk of Metabolic Syndrome(MetS),so as to provide evidence for the development of health management strategies for people at high risk of MetS.Methods From November 2022 to June 2023,1 212 residents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria in Shihezi area were investigated with the general information questionnaire,the Adult Health Self-Management Ability Rating Scale,and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index.Results The total score of the health self-management ability was(146.90±17.37).Professional,cultural level,income,food preferences,diet and sleep quality were factors affecting the ability of the MetS high-risk groups health self-management(P<0.05).Conclusion The health self-management ability of MetS high-risk population is at a medium level,showing a status of high cognition and low behavior.It is suggested that health management departments should take the community as the carrier and use technical means to improve the availability of health education and promote the implementation of health self-management behavior.
