Correlation between Self-perceived Burden and Self-efficacy,Coping Styles in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure
Objective To study the correlation of self-perceived burden with self-efficacy and coping styles in pa-tients with chronic heart failure,so as to provide a basis for relieving the self-perceived burden of patients. Methods 540 patients with chronic heart failure in the First Affiliated Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University were selected from January 2022 to December 2023.Patients'self-perceived burden[Self-Perceived Burden Scale(SPBS)]and self-efficacy[General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)]and coping styles[Trait Coping Style Questionnaire(CSQ)]were evaluated and their correlation was studied. Results Investigation revealed that the overall self-perceived bur-den was at a mild-to-moderate level, and the overall self-efficacy was at a medium level, and the overall coping style was negative. The disease course>5 years, complications, low level of self-efficacy and negative coping style were the risk factors for the increase of self-perceived burden in patients with chronic heart failure(P<0.05).The SPBS score in patients with chronic heart failure was negatively correlated with the score of GSES and the score of positive coping of CSQ(P<0.05),and was positively correlated with the score of negative coping of CSQ(P<0.05).Conclu-sion The self-perceived burden of patients with chronic heart failure is affected by the course of disease,complica-tions,self-efficacy and coping styles.
